The hut was very comfortable and had everything that you needed for a getaway, we felt right at home. The sauna and and hot tub was definitely the cherry on top for a relaxing weekend away.

Andy was a fantastic host who was very responsive to any questions which we had and gave good recommendations.

We were surprised that the hot tub only needed heating once in the day and then kept its temperature for most of the day! The huts and lake are in a contained fenced area so it felt very safe and well looked after! And it was amazing being close to so many beautiful horses! The only negative we found was the wifi was not very good, but if you’re going here to have a peaceful weekend away from phones and computers then this is perfect! Definitely recommend and would stay here again 🙂

The hut was really cosy and had everything you need. We loved getting a morning visit from the Swans and watching all the wildlife and horses around. The lake was beautiful too! Couldn’t ask for any better. The host was easy to get in touch with and responded quick when we needed some more logs! He also recommended local restaurants and was very helpful. We would love to come back in the summer when the weather is warmer, but it was very cute & cosy in the Winter. We don’t want to come home lol!

  This is an absolutely stunning place to stay. We stayed two nights for such a reasonable price and had the best time (even though the weather was awful). The location... read more is rural and peaceful, there are so many animals on site that come up to your hut each morning and the lake is lovely. The huts are enclosed in their own area, making them feel more secure. It was our first time using a log burner hot tub and we were nervous to use this but it was easy to use as the instructions are really clear. The hot tub was one of the highlights from our stay, we used it even when it was snowing. The hut itself was spotless, tidy and modern. There was a place for everything and it didn’t feel small. There is also a drawer in the kitchen completely full of handy utensils that may need to be used whilst camping. We’re not into fishing so can’t comment on the fishing aspect but the lake is a decent size. I absolutely loved the furnishings inside the hut, it make it so cosy. There is also a bbq, fire pit and sauna that can be used which is a nice addition.

If you’re staying here in the winter months, I would suggest arriving on site prior to it getting dark, as this made it a little difficult for us to get in and work out where things were and I would also suggest bringing a couple of blankets and some slippers because although the heaters are great when they’ve been on for a while, it does take some time for the hut to heat up in the cold weather and the floors can be cold.

Andy and the team were amazing! We were able to communicate easily through air bnb and also through the phone, he was always happy to help if we had any issues despite the fact that I am sure he was busy.

We did take our own towels to use with the hot tub and Im glad we did. The towels provided werent substantial enough for our 'curvy' figures. But everything else was great. We highly recommend this listing. Xx
