Plenty of opportunities to head out on... read more walks and cycling - and close enough to Haverhill town if wanted to head out to shops/restaurants/pubs etc. Many other nearby towns/villages also well worth visiting (especially Clare which we enjoyed).

  I booked the Shepard’s Hut for my boyfriends birthday and it couldn’t have been more perfect! The hot tub was definitely a standout, it was really fun and easy to... read more heat with the logs. The hut was really cosy and had everything you need. We loved getting a morning visit from the Swans and watching all the wildlife and horses around. The lake was beautiful too! Couldn’t ask for any better. The host was easy to get in touch with and responded quick when we needed some more logs! He also recommended local restaurants and was very helpful. We would love to come back in the summer when the weather is warmer, but it was very cute & cosy in the Winter. We don’t want to come home lol!

  Had a lovely weekend break in the Serenity Lake hut. It was very clean and complimentary drinks were great too! The wood burning hot tub and sauna were easy to... read more use and we really enjoyed having our morning coffee on the hammocks. We were surprised that the hot tub only needed heating once in the day and then kept its temperature for most of the day! The huts and lake are in a contained fenced area so it felt very safe and well looked after! And it was amazing being close to so many beautiful horses! The only negative we found was the wifi was not very good, but if you’re going here to have a peaceful weekend away from phones and computers then this is perfect! Definitely recommend and would stay here again 🙂

Thought it would be cramped in an attempt to squeeze everything into the hut but it wasn’t at all. There are three huts situated around the lake but they aren’t too close and it still feels private. It was perfect for us, and just what we needed. Would come back again in a heartbeat. I had so many friends ask where i was and how they could book!

I stayed for 4 night's and caught 3 beautiful fish ,a PD Mirror over 26lbs, my first Croatian carp over 18lbs and to top that my first Catfish of 31lbs.
The place lives up to its name "Serenity".
Could not wish for anything more.
Andy was a great host offering tips with the fishing and on hand if you needed him.
Andy you should be very proud of your achievements with this place.
My dream is owning a place like this.
I will definitely be back.
